Maybe it’s an H1N1 concern

This is from my Journal News colleague Gerald McKinstry, who witnessed this exchange in the parking lot of News12 in Yonkers:
Apparently after Tuesday night’s debate at News12, Republican Dan SchorrĀ approached his opponent, Janet DiFiore, and offered to shake her hand. DiFiore, the incumbent district attorney, passed on that, as did her husband, who told Schorr, “Your 15 minutes are up.”
Schorr maintains that DiFiore had refused to shake his hand throughout the campaign.

Has anyone out there had the opportunity to shake the hand of Dan Schorr? Trust me, the guy has a limp handshake and you are not missing anything. And Dan, by the way, your 15 minutes ARE up!
First, I was there and quite frankly it was Dan Schorr who was the grace-less cad. He practically knocked Janet DiFiore over with this alleged “overture” and when he did not suceed in his poor attempt at intimindation he asked (like a whiney child) “why don’t you want to shake my hand”? While continuing to hold out his hand, Janet DiFiore’s husband simply walked by Dan Schorr and made the statement as indicated above. Dan then turned to Gerald McKinstry of the Journal News (who was standing next to Dan Schorr, presumably having a conversation with Schorr) and asked “Did you see that? Is this on the record”? Schorr is the ultimate political opportunist and an overall cad. I was schocked when he did not stomp his feet as he whined about not having his hand shaken.
I watched the debate and saw Janet DiFiore shake the hand of Dan Schorr. So what is going on here? It appears that this is nothing more than sour grapes on the part of Schorr. Making “something from nothing Dan” should be his campaign slogan.
Let me get this straight…...Schorr approaches the District Attorney in a dimly lit parking lot AFTER the debate. The very same debate where both of them shook hands? So Schorr made a dismal showing at the debate and the best he can now come up with is accusing DiFiore of not shaking his hand? How many times does he want to shake her hand in one evening? I shook Schoor’s hand once and found it to be a bit lim-wristed and sweaty. Pretty icky if you ask me.
Can any of the above commenter’s read? This account did NOT come from Schorr, it came from a Journal News reporter who witnessed the encounter. Janet’s campaign manager and spokeswoman have waaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy too much time on their hands. Why don’t you ladies go out and try and secure some votes instead of writing nonsense on these blogs?
Hey READ! Didn’t you READ all the posts? It is clear that Schorr baited McKinstry who relayed it to Blog Queen Rebecca Baker. Smart people can READ between the lines.
